Hair Curve Strands using Geometry Nodes
This is the hair curve strands with geometry nodes as shown here:
This setup can now work with curve objects with multiple splines
Each setting in the modifier properties panel has its own short and brief tooltips. Hover over one of them to see it. And they are mostly self-explanatory. I suggest you play around with it to see its possibilities.
There is a node group in the material that contains four attributes captured from the Geometry Nodes that could be helpful when building your shader.
This setup was created using Blender version 3.6.1 and it may or may not work as expected with previous versions since I have not tested it as such so be sure to use the latest version of Blender. Download The Latest Version of Blender here: https://www.blender.org/download/
Included in the .blend file are as follows:
- A curve object with the Geometry Nodes setup
- A curve object used as the guide shape
- A node group inside the included material containing attributes captured from the geometry nodes
A video demo may be coming soon...
If you have any inputs or suggestions, feel free to let me know. I can be found on various places on the web at: https://futhoni.carrd.co
